The list really could go on and on but you get the idea. These are the biggest sins that are committed the most. So here’s the big question for you. What sins have you committed (or are committing) that are keeping you from reaching all of your goals and living the life of your dreams? It could be some of the ones listed above or they could be different.

Whatever they are it’s important that you know that they don’t have to pull you down forever. The first step in mending anything is accepting you’ve got a problem. So if you’re not taking your business seriously enough don’t beat yourself up or dwell on it forever. Just admit that what you re doing is misguided and go on with your life.

All too frequently we want to penalize ourselves for our old mistakes. The past is just the past, and it doesn’t have to mean anything unless you let it. Open your eyes and find the habits that are holding your business back, correct them and then forget them.

Nobody is perfect and even people who are now making millions have made some of the same foolish mistakes you’re making now, so don t let them slow you down.

Rejection, nobody likes it, but if you’re going to be involved in a home based internet marketing business you better get used to it!

It doesn’t matter how good you are, people are going to reject your opportunity and some will blatantly reject you. If you want to succeed in any MLM network marketing opportunity, you better learn to live with rejection.

Your prospects will need to learn to trust you, and some of them just won’t take the time to get to know you so they can learn to trust you. That’s just the way it is and we’re not going to change people.

Trust is earned when prospects see you as a real person, not some automated robot that throws a bunch of stuff on the internet. People need to know that you scrambled just like they may have struggled in a home business. Of course you need to tell the truth, so if you didn’t struggle don’t act like you did!

We have no problem telling people that we were, facing bankrutcy and foreclosure, before we ever became successful in our home based business. We tried and failed at many home based businesses. That’s not something you tend to make up!

People are more likely to identify with you when you write to them in a conversational tenor. You have to write in a way that feels like you are writing to one person.

No matter how many people you are actually writing to, only one person is reading your email or blog post at a time so it’s important that it “sounds” like you’re writing to that one person. Your prospects are less likely to reject you if they feel like you understand them and care about them.

That doesn’t mean that you become wimpy in your writing. Trying to please everyone is a recipe for disaster. Let me give you a recent example.

A prospect called me and said he wanted to become successful working from home. But then he went on to say that he wasn;t going to do this and he wasn’t going to do that. He admitted that he had never been successful in any home based business.

It’s tempting to try to please every prospect just so they will like you and join your business, but this guy has no chance at becoming successful with his know-it-all attitude. I politely told him that I couldn’t work with him unless he was willing to do the very things he said he wasn’t going to do.

To make a long story very short he wasn’t happy with what I had to say and I ended the conversation rapidly. This guy wants to become successful but he isn’t willing to do what successful people do.

I’m not trying to become friends with everybody I talk to and you shouldn’t be either. I’m trying to help people change their lives forever.

Your #1 goal is to start a relationship with like-minded people who seek counsel on the way to their goals. Your job is to help them get to wherever they want to go. All prospects really care about is where they want to go and if you can help them get there.

You won’t find success in any multi-level marketing business until you focus on your prospects and what they want in their life!

So I ask you, if your teenager is looking for a way to make some quick cash, why not have them help you with your home based MLM business? Teenagers are extremely internet savvy, so doing things on-line can be a fantastic way for them to help you and make some extra money at the same time. Submitting articles can be a demoralizing task, so why not hand it over to your teenager? Give them your articles and a list of all the places you need them submitted and have them get it done. This is effortless work, it’s just not the most enjoyable thing you have ever done. Hey, at least it’s better than making french fries!

Another thing they can accomplish online is handle your Myspace or Facebook page. They can send out messages, keep everything up to date, add pictures and reply to inquiries. There’s a good chance they would be better at it than you ever will and it might also be fun for them.

If you don’t have friends on FaceBook, being a part of a social networking site is quite senseless. You can be average or you can be a FaceBook superstar. Clearly, since you are using FaceBook for the purpose of marketing your work at home online business, you want to be a superstar. You can achieve that status in as little as 30 days, but it does take a time commitment on your part. But that shouldn’t be an issue because you want to be successful right?

First you should see that if you have fewer than 200 friends on FaceBook, this isn’t a bad thing. In fact, it’s an average thing. However, again, you want superstar status, so this will not do for you.

Once you have 500 friends, you are considered to be popular, and people will be pulled to you, and when you have between 800 and 1000 friends, you’re essentially a FaceBook celebrity. Eventually, that’s what you should be working towards, but for now, let’s concentrate on becoming popular, with 500 friends.

Resist the temptation to use automated software that adds friends to your FaceBook friends list. This defeats the purpose of social networking. Instead, do it the hard way. You will come to realize that the hard way really isn’t hard at all. Getting friends on FaceBook isn’t brain surgery.

The first thing to do is to join all of the Home Business groups that you can find. There are plenty of them out there. Each time you join a group, send a friend request to every single member of that group.

Certainly not all members will accept your request, but the bulk of them will. This can be a little time consuming, but it is well worth the effort in the end. This should easily net you 200 to 300 friends. Try to add at least 30 new friends each day, for the full 30 days. It’s a great idea to add friends regularly instead of trying to get 1,000 FaceBook friends in 4 days!

Once you’ve depleted the home business groups, find other groups that are related to your business.

Use your existing website to get more friends, as well as your blog. Post your FaceBook badge on your website and blog. Make a blog post and invite your readers to add you as a friend on Facebook. If you Twitter, tell your followers to add you on FaceBook. If you have a mailing list, send out a note and invite them to join you on FaceBook.
